Everything is pretty confusing since the steam decided to add the harsh region locks to gifts. So, yeah ... it seems like we all became a little inactive. But who knows what will happen in the future. :)

It doesn't seem like it, it seems like we would have an official announcement by now. The main reason I haven't done any giveaways in a while is because I don't really know what the hell is going on around here anymore.

@Great I 2nd your proposal and will join you in this group or another. I am ROW country so new rules won't affect me as much as others here. Lots are leaving and wish them the very best but we don't have to abandon our community while steamgifts works out the kinks. I don't believe valve will remove the region locks they have implemented and Steamgifts v2 will have to implement the same regions that valve has forced on all of us. In short count me in. I love this group.

This group is the best I've been part of. The way it's organized is amazing.
I've never really used a lot of gifts in my giveaway, but mainly keys so in my perspective the new rules of Steam don't seem to be a big problem, there a lot of site selling keys cheaper than Steam itself, and you can use paypal even without a card... But I can imagine some people having different problems with the new Steam rules.

If the group were to stop, I'd gladly create my own with the exact same rules and even using the existing ratio file for people from TPGC who'd join it, conserving their ratio and historic.
Or I'd be glad to takeover this one. It should keep going.

Lets hope Steam remove the region lock after Winter Sales is over. This group is one of the best

Group is not dead yet. There just won't be any new members for now, since we have this "region locks" nonsense.
Of course you're free to start your own group anytime (or even take over this one xD).
If they won't cancel locks after the sale it will be really the last straw for me...
Also, I don't see why you are disappointed, you donated, but you got your chances to win something in return, there are still some awesome giveaways running.

Ok so I understand about the group disbanding but what about those of us who joined this month and bought games to donate? Maybe we could start our own group or at least get some keys or last-minute giveaways to make up for the loss.

I'm actually kind of sad to say it; but I'm choosing to leave the group.
I've been here since the beginning of the group along a couple of the current member. I've given a bunch of games away and recieved a bunch.
But for now, I have all the games I could ask for and my economic resources are going to be interesting here in 2015; So I've decided to withdraw a bit from the gifting madness. Was fun though :D

Hope I'll see some of you in the forums over at SG or somewhere and maybe I'll return some day :D

Yeah. I'm afraid I'll have to leave the group. People will have to organize themselves and create regional groups to keep ga's going, otherwise SteamGifts will feature solely bundled games and a few keys from resellers.

Same here in Ukraine, which doesn't make any sense BTW, because they were always forcing us to use USD to pay for games on steam and not our local currency. So they just locked all CIS countries instead of separating russia with their ruble. So many problems caused by just one country, even on steam now

Well, in this situation the group is pretty pointless for me since I only buy gifts from steam store.

Not sure what I have to do, it would be unfair for me to stay and unfair to just abandon the group...

So... region blocks and I'm from Brazil. I guess I'm screwed here, that's sad. Any thoughts? I don't have an international credit card (at least, not until I pay my huge debt with my bank), so buying keys from gmg or indie gala are out of question.

I know I shouldn't be ranting here cuz it looks like there's no way out but I want to check with you guys if there's another option before I have to (sadly) leave the group.

Well, you can leave the group and your ratio will be stored or you may stay and still your ratio won't drop to critical point :)

I wont be able to make another GA till posibly end of the month if i get banned no hard feelings it was good while it was short lived...just a tough unfortunate month
