It shows the section where the comment was given and an empty avatar section next to it, both outlined with small white dots. There is an option to undo for me as the one who reported but

This novelty can also be used at artwork, screenshots, workshop items etc.. At a review i checked i could even hide & report the comment of a developer of that game.
What is the use if i can hide & report Spoopy's comments on her own items but she can not hide & report mine? If i don't like Spoopy i just don't visit comments pages on her items. And it;s not like i can block the items themselves from seeing them in f.e. the workshop, i can only hide/report the comments. I think it's bugged.

So i don't view this as an addition to not see blocked accounts as it goes per individual comment not per account and/or per comment section. Furthermore, reporting never needed a report per individual comment, reporting 1 or 2 and adding a phrase about other unwanted/suspicious comments would suffice.

Likewise with reporting accounts. Last month i reported a string of 1800+ stolen and newly created accounts (+ website and youtube video) and yesterday a string of 75 to perhaps 200 stolen accounts (+ website and youtube video). I don't have to know the exact number. With some 20+ examples Valve Security can take care of them all. And such usually includes adding site-adress to the linkfilter as well as removing youtube video's of scammer/phishing sites. I do not even need to report at Youtube, Valve/Steam will take care of removal there.

I don't know current amounts.
These 1800+ is just 1 cartel and that with only the single most obvious search, the sites name. They undoubtly have a portion of their accounts stached to start anew after all the acc's they use in current offensive have been closed (new acc's) or placed under restrictions for the legit owners to reclaim them.

"FREE 10-20 $ FOR CASES" is another profile nickname (also many hundreds) to lure Ppl in. In previous offensive this cartel used a dot win adress in stead of dot top they use now.

Yeah... {link removed out of piety to the legit owner of the account} a 14 year old account, is just one more of 1800+ search results on the Steam Community. Many stolen or ortherwise hijacked accounts, probably a lot of newly created accounts as well.

Did you run the site through VirusTotal? Comes up clean there but since it's likely to be a scamming and/or phishing site no malware would be expected. Still, won't hurt (the honoust Ppl & sites).

However that's not what i wanna write about here. It's more like "Hey? Since When? I wish Steam would finally come up with a message system for pro-/de-motions like these.".

Most important are the ownership changes although those of us who use their subscribed group list can see if they're owner of a group there. Mods and officers can not see their pro-/de-motion anywhere except in the group itself. But well, as many are subbed to over a 100 groups even ownership of a group often goes unnoticed by Ppl who never actually visit the groups they are subscribed to.

When group owners leave the group, new owners don't get any notiofication from Steam stating they inheritted the group. As such i found myself heir to 3 groups where i used to be a regular member. Yes the group and the accounts were reported by me right away, seemingly to no avail.

Another string of groups i witnissed last year was created by the spammers themselves. Creating at least 10 new groups each day, posted 1 or more spam messages, invited the friendslists of stolen accounts and then leave the groups to create 10 more such groups. Therewith leaving unsuspecting victims with the ownership of these groups. These groups still exsist and even still bear the name of the spammer sites even tough i reported them as soon as i got wind of them.

I assume its safer to have a default thats stricter on privacy, and then let users chose what to share later. It would be a good requirement for Community leader badges to have to set check/set privacy settings.

I wasn't just talking about cheaters alt accounts. For me it's more like tracking down some or sometimes many scam/malware botnet accounts from where Steam Support & Security can track down dozens more, as well as their latest victims. Note, them scam/malware bots don't have their alts listed on their friendslist anyway.
