Where we play test SFG Games!

Welcome! This group is all about playtesting SFG games and variants using Tabletop Simulator. Looking forward to seeing you all in game!

Our current projects:

RDI Character: Lich King - Beta
RDI Character: Murgath the Blessed - Alpha
RDI Character: Valeria the Corrupted - Concept
RDI Character: Unnamed Archer - Concept
RDI 7 - Concept
BFG: Pirates - Concept

Development Key (from least to most developed):

Concept: The point in development where everything is fluid, from theme to core mechanics. Basically, we want to identify whether or not it is fun, and that the theme and mechanic are in-line with one another.
Alpha: One step up from Concept. Basically the core ideas are good and we want to make sure they work. We are not terribly worried about balance at this point.
Beta: Balancing time! The mechanics are good the theme is good, and we just need to make sure that it totally doesn't wreck the game and create un-fun scenarios. Minor emphasis is also set on ensuring a cohesive theme across the deck. The last part of Beta is the theme pass where all card titles and art descriptions are finalized.
Finalization: Balance is basically set, with the only changes being minor tweaks of a couple of cards. The focus hear it to make sure that the character's titles are fun and that the theme is cohesive.

How to ensure you load all the correct files.

The past few sessions have been plagued with folks having the incorrect image files load into their game. The reason for this is that we update our decks via dropbox and simply save over previously existing files, essentially swapping the linked image that TSim references. This makes it dead simple for us to redesign and implement deck changes.

The problem is that most of you have "Mod Caching" enabled, which means you don't need to re-download the image files as long as their link doesn't change. So we need to fix that!

Before you join any of our PT sessions, follow these steps:

Open "Menu"
You should be on the tab "Game"
Half-way down the options you'll find "Miscellaneous
Uncheck the first option "Mod Caching"
Hit "Apply" at the bottom of the window.

If you follow these steps, it means your client will redownload all the image files each time you enter a game. This is good for us because we're constantly tweaking them.
