Sonic Arena 2 in XtremeWorlds goodness. It's back, and probably better, but we're working on it~

Sonic Arena 2 is back, can be downloaded, and will contain content from Pre-Heated Finale and a majority of the quest lines, initial areas, and even music and graphics have been updated or refreshed in ways. While maintaining the original look and feel of the MMO from 2010.


The longer story is that a few people in the game's past, one of those being Braydok themselves, found a copy of the Sonic Arena 2 Server and it was presented to some major people behind the reworks and remakes of Sonic Arena, including Jay, one of the original administrators over the Sonic Arena project. As a former staff member Boosty, as well as myself Invert/Invy, along with a few OGs from the community Slash, Supa, & Joey. In the past 2 months, we have made most of, reworked the road to Level 50, and built on-top of the pre-Heated Finale build. And we continue to as the days roll by, calmly but, surely are semi-actively reworking, remaking, and just pushing the engine to its limit. We do so at our own pace because, life. Yeah most of us have work and jobs and need to put food on our tables. But, you will be surprised at what you will see has changed, what is new and added, and what stays familiar and the same as we remember it.


Now there are some caveats and it does take some moderate understanding on how to handle things like file registration and management, general troubleshooting and IT, and it may require knowing your computer well enough to run what is essentially over a decade old piece of software, and it may not work properly. But if you are willing to dive into the troubleshooting rabbit hole for a retro 2000s game and/or even run a Windows Vista or Windows 7 environment to run the game (NOTE: The Vista or 7 environment is optional via VM [Virtual Macine], the game runs on Windows 11 and 10 just fine for most.), then here it is, Sonic Arena 2 Remastered! Even if you don't exactly plan on playing the game or are not able to play the game immediately due to technical issues, we also still don't mind if you would like to simply hang out and reminisce about SA2, or talk about your time and any works around it. We are running a clean slate policy and those of you who are holding off because you were banned before from the community, we are giving you a second chance, if not however many times after the second one this may be, starting fresh is what we are doing here. And, as most of us originally played this as high-schoolers we have changed, people have changed, and things change. We understand, no need to go explaining yourself, no need to worry, we will welcome you back! So please understand we want to welcome you all back and have a place to return to!

On the note of technical issues note, about 5~10% of users so far may be hit with something along the lines of the "Black Screen" bug, we are researching and working out a solution to what we believe has plagued the SA2 community in the past and you are encouraged to and/or can help provide us solve it by joining the discord and discussing! We and a few of our nostalgic fans for the game would appreciate it if we solved this!

As for the Steam Group, please feel free to remain and/or invite to the group as many of us here are still gamers and if you are looking for others to play Minecraft, or game with in general (those of you looking out for the new Fall Guys type of Sonic game upcoming on Steam, Sonic Rumble? I'm sure you might need a group to consider playing with.)
