Happy (Belated) 10th Anniversary!

This marked the 10th anniversary of this group's founding, all the way back in 2014. As you can imagine, this place has has seen many changes and experiments over the years as I've tried to settle on a particular vision for it. Fret not, this isn't one of those moments. I'm not opening the group up again, or revamping the entire thing on some hair-brained idea I came up with on a whim. No, the current vision of a friends-only group is still the way to go. While there may be minor changes here and there, going forward, this should be the final form of this group. If I'm not satisfied at this point, I might just delete it entirely.

That being said, there are some things I must go over and change.

The first, and most important change is a new rule: being on my friends list is now mandatory for membership. To coincide with this new rule, I have a second announcement:

Yep, I am indeed doubling down and going all in on the whole "friends list-only group" idea. I know I said I wouldn't purge anyone not on my friends list last announcement. But after some reflection on it, I must sadly renege on that statement as I have changed my mind. In preparation for this event, I have already purged my friends list proper. If I have unfriended you, please note it is not at all personal. Thankfully, if you are not on my friends list and wish to stay in this group, there is one simple solution: just re-add me on Steam and I will consider it.


To give you all a fair chance to do so, the group purge will begin on May 18th. That is one week from now. I would say that is plenty of time to do this, particularly for those of you offline when this announcement was posted. Failure to contact me on Steam will result in expulsion from the group on that date. You have been warned. Otherwise, to those who will be removed, I wish you good luck in whatever endeavors you take on next.

To ensure a smooth operation and prevent shenanigans, I have temporarily revoked your ability to post/edit Events. Once the purge is complete and I have sent new invites to the rest of my friends list, I will re-instate that power.

Truth be told, I was going to do this on the actual anniversary date, but personal/professional obligations erm, distracted me. And so it's less of an anniversary celebration and more of an appropriate Spring cleaning.
