I'm just gonna be honest...this remaster on it's worst day is better than the reboot at its peak

I do not know what everyone else is complaining about. I completed the original game many times. The graphics here are definitely better. Not a ton better. Its not like going from Elder Scrolls 3 to Elder Scrolls 5, but its obviously better and I don't understand why anyone could not see that. Sound effects are about the same quality. I still take issue that most guns feel weak and piddly on my speakers, but they are distinct and you know when you're being shot at. The story is still good. Side missions are loads of fun. The smartphone interface actually feels a little smoother and I like it. Cut scenes really show off how much better the models and textures are. 3 hours in, I had no bugs, crashes, glitches, major complaint.
One very minor complaint is on night missions sometimes the overly dark, stylized shadows are a little annoying. But I think I can change that in the graphics settings so its a non-issue. Theres nothing wrong here and a lot they got right. I recommend purchasing it. Especially if its on sale.

Zombies, hookers, superpowers, clones, aliens and a purple dildo bat. What's not to love?

Walk into a Planet Saints and you'll notice that the animated LED posters play the same introduction renders from the original game, despite being recreated here.

That should summarize how much effort went into this "remaster".

This game gave me a boner... again.

Not bad.

While yes…there are still some performance problems, Saints Row the Third Remastered is a helluva fun game, especially with friends. The story missions will have you rolling with laughter, and there’s no setback if you find yourself in the middle of a shootout between all three gangs and the Steelport police. It’s just all good fun. And with all the craziness going on in the world, it’s nice to have a game to lose yourself in that makes you not take yourself quite as seriously and reminds you to be thankful for the time you have and tackle life one day at a time.

At the end of the day if you can grab it on sale its still better than the original game that released back then the only problems i encountered in my 30hrs+ was a black screen when exiting which was annoying fixed with a PC restart no progress was lost.

What a great game to play! I've been playing this since the PS3 days right before GTA5 came out. The story and game play match great for this game. However, I have to mention the crackhead missions that are in the game as well, they are absolutley FANTASTIC. I would recommend this game for solo or co-op play!
