This guide is to help anyone who has bought or is thinking of buying the map pack dlcs, only to find that they can't verify the dlc due to Games for Windows - Live being dead. 

This is a simple guide which lets anyone setup the Games for Windows Live Service that is required in some old PC games. GFWL is the short name for Games For Windows Live Service maintained by Microsoft which they discontinued with the use of Xbox Service....
