Game completely freeze my entire pc after about an hour of play. Windowed mode + disabling mouse input in settings worked for me, cpu usage still spiked at random moments but game eventually unfreeze. UPD: also found 2 year old post at reddit about Disagea 1 which help me reduce cpu usage spikes significantly (just google "Disgaea PC Refuses to Launch, Tried Many Fixes reddit") and first result should be post with link for updating VCredist...

try disable fullscreen optimizations on compatibility tab this works great for me and disgaea 4 intro works too !!
