It starts innocently. "Oh, cool," you think, "I'll summon Dark Magician and relive my childhood." You lie to yourself, saying you'll stay free-to-play. But then you see it. That one Ultra Rare card that will complete your deck. You start grinding gems. You do the loaner deck challenges. You level up characters you hate. Finally, you're out of resources, staring at the bottom of a 200-pack box with your prize still inside. Your finger hovers over the "Special Sale!" button.

This game is a masterclass in psychological warfare. It weaponizes nostalgia and uses Seto Kaiba's voice actor to call you a third-rate duelist while it takes your rent money. And we love it. We keep coming back for that one glorious moment where we top-deck the perfect card, win the duel, and feel a rush of dopamine so pure it makes us forget the crippling debt we're in.

I used to like the game back when it was released but it's not enjoyable anymore despite the anime factor it has which I really enjoy.
