Whats the strongest survivor strategy for campaign mode?
I was thinking about what new special infected could exist, but as you know they all need to exist to counter a specific strategy. Spitters stop corner camping, hunters stop lone rushers, boomers punish them for standing too close together, etc.

The main one I can think of it camping at the end of a long corridor, like players normally do in the elevator event on No Mercy. The infected can't even get close to you, and even spitters aren't all that effective.

Maybe to counter that, something like a tank would be needed? Rather than serving to attack the survivors, it could just have a high health pool and serve as a walking wall to escort the other infected into the survivors position. They'll either be forced to move out, or have to concentrate their fire on it before they get overrun. As a downside, make it move and turn slowly, and be more vulnerable from behind. That way it would struggle in more open areas or when the survivors are spread out.

In Campaign mode the SI do not lack strength, atleast if u play it on Expert/Expert realism. The Elevator on No Mercy was open in l4d 1, i guess the spitter made that to dangerous. Speaking from Versus, there are mods, that balanced the game better.

not one part of this answered the question in the title
speen bash and w mash

How would a special counter this? Very good question.
Maybe some kind of AoE attack that fatigues you, reducing the effectiveness of the bash and making you slower. Putting heavy priority on killing it, as it affects everyone.

It's a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying counter but probably needed. Tho the flow of the game is not in a miserable state of unbalance or anything.

The text does not match the headline.
The headline asks for survivor strategys
in the text he asks whether this or that SI alteration could be good or fun. I was answering to his text.

It does.

The title asks what the strongest survivor strategies are

Paragraph 1 explains why I want to know that (I'm thinking of SI concepts, but they need to exist to counter a specific strategy; hence, what are the strongest strategies)

Paragraph 2 gives an example of a strong strategy to show what kind of responses I'm looking for (camping a long corridor is a strong strategy)

Paragraph 3 explains how this strong strategy would be countered by a new SI, linking the title to the reasoning behind the post.

Whereas your reply doesn't list a single survivor strategy, then you bring up versus mode and mods which have nothing to do with the topic.
