I haven't been able to figure out why, but every time I try and play, it's in literal slo-mo. Does anyone know what to do?

I'm interested in knowing the entire series story, and gaining this knowledge with as few games as possible. If someone can answer the header question, that'd be enough. Even better is if an outline of what to play can be provided.

The Steam page says buyer's on Steam get a digital copy of the soundtrack, but nothing appears in my library under soundtracks... Anybody know anything about this?
