I started playing Leap Year today, having heard a lot of good things about it, but while I've got a bit more than half the calendar pages, the game's making me feel stupid: are there rules behind where you can do certain things? Or is the player supposed to just stumble upon these? I saw in the video that the screen shakes when you die, is it possible to turn that off?

I have 1-27. I'm not sure what to do with the O X X UP UP DOWN DOWN inscription, or where to even implement it? I've tried hitting the sequence on my controller both static and mid fall on various platforms. This one seems like a big leap in connecting the dots to me, what am I missing?...
