Faster Achievement Guide

[Spoilers] Speed run bug makes the achievement easy [Patched]

EDIT: As of 2024-06-23, the bug has been patched After collecting the 29 to trigger the end of the game , immediately pause to return to the main menu before the fade out finishes. Start a new run and the timer will immediately pause and the fade out will continue. Wait for the credits to start and you will have successfully completed the game with a time of 0:00.000 and zero dates collected . Environmental clues, or just guesswork? (some light spoilers)

I started playing Leap Year today, having heard a lot of good things about it, but while I've got a bit more than half the calendar pages, the game's making me feel stupid: are there rules behind where you can do certain things? Or is the player supposed to just stumble upon these? I'm fine with some trying out, but right now it feels like I'm supposed to fall on every surface just to see if it reacts like a normal floor, i.e. SPLAT!!!, or not. Help with end game

I have 1-27. I'm not sure what to do with the O X X UP UP DOWN DOWN inscription, or where to even implement it? I've tried hitting the sequence on my controller both static and mid fall on various platforms. This one seems like a big leap in connecting the dots to me, what am I missing?...

If you're into really simple and clever puzzle platformers, definitely check this one out. It's not long, but it's really good.

What a great game! I saw Leap Year on a list of top 10 "metroidbranias", otherwise known as "knowledge-based games", and it definitely deserves its inclusion. I loved learning the mechanics by exploring and trying different things out, and it rarely felt like I was stuck since there was always something new to try (with the exception of the 28th day). The last part was also cool, although I would have preferred it a bit less linear and less platformer. All in all this was one of the better experiences I've had of my favorite genre.
