Isn't Vulcanova a tad overtuned for a second boss?

Her second phase specifically. Her passive is absurd in a game filled to the brim with spammy damage effects. I of course lost to her the first time I met her because my build was dealing damage through many hits. I started trying to tech against her from the start, but the problem is that single (or minimal) hit builds suck big time compared to spammy ones. I just fought her with the spear skill that pierces (so it bypasses her passive), but it does 100-200 damage for 4 mana, and even when she gets no rag...

Early Access Review

Genuinely a lot more content than I was expecting from an early access title. There is massive potential here with the art and the music and the combat!

I think I can safely say this game is going to eat up a lot of my free time...

Plus, Shork, I mean come on, a cat shark hybrid. I love him.

Skill-cost

I want to hear what you all think about skills and their costs. I feel like everything that costs more than 2 is weak except maybe stuff that got used in special cases like debuff-removal. Playing a 3,4 or 5 cost skill is never worth it even if the effect is big. 1 and 2 cost skills can be played in earlier turns so you can chunk enemys down or maybe kill some before a 4 or 5 cost could even be used and if you play skills that can reset themselves you can play them again and again so no recources get wast...

I am simply amazed at how much cooler and more epic the game has become after the beta test, the plot, the company, the reworked spells, the huge inventory, a bunch of everything that makes you just say HELL YEAH!
As if you are 10 again and you are watching BEN10

Early Access Review

I'm not a huge fan of turn-based games that play like a deck builder, but this was... surprisingly addicting?

What I enjoyed about the game:

A good handful of content for its launch and its price. The Campaign has around 8 episodes available for Season 1, which is set in the Water Dimension, with characters you can unlock. And even once you have completed that, you can do the Master Raid mode, which is like an endless mode for players who like to test the limits of their builds.
The game provides a summary of your Expedition run and a Timer in the settings, which is good for players who like to best their personal records.
Interesting enemy designs and writing. Even the earliest enemies show so much character, like the King Crab Specter, Ceviche. It has a shiny crown dangling from it's overgrown horn and even has interesting flavor dialogue such as "My golden Crown...how it sparkles in the resplendent ocean light.." and insults like "Ye of little culture!" made me laugh :)) I was not expecting to read that from a glorified crab.
Vibrant, animated environments and characters in comic style is just chef's kiss.
Favourite characters are silly Shork and money grubbing Shopkeep (or should I say, "Regulus"), together with their animations <3 Even without the voice acting, I can imagine what they sound like when I read the dialogue hahaha

What I hope they can improve on while in the early access phase:
I'm one of those players who is not a fan of reading tutorial windows and would rather skip it to get to the gameplay experience. Perhaps the devs can give the players the option to choose either "Skip Tutorial guide" (for players who want to learn on their own), or have a live overlay tutorial that a player can follow along and learn while playing at the same time, and it can pop in when the game presents something unfamiliar. And should the player want to read them again, they can be directed to the pause screen where they can access the tutorial guide, and show those detailed pop up windows that the current game is using.
Have Setting option to "Click to use" instead of dragging an ability to the target. I find clicking faster and more efficient.
Not knowing about the Resets. I wish there was a window pop up warning or an option to choose whether I keep or reset my build when I continue to the next episodes. I automatically assumed all my accumulated abilities would carry over once I click the next story, and am surprised when they don't appear and are instead replaced with new abilities.
Clarity of some Abilities. Perhaps the game could issue a warning or a sound that tells me when a move's requirements are not being met, because it feels like a waste of Mana when new players make small mistakes such as using Shork's 'Cover when he has no Defense to spend for the ability.
During Granny's potion shop in the tutorial, I was confused as to why my 41 remaining Gold could not buy a 40 Gold potion item. Strange.
Equippable and Non-Equippable Inventory. As a new player, there are times when I receive items that I'm not sure where they are used in. I think those are one of the moments I would appreciate a tutorial popping in.
Just a preference (and a bit of story spoiler), but wondering if I can see more "sad" or "concerned" emotions from Koa when he is referring to his missing Grandpa?

There is so much potential for improvement over the next updates and fixes, but I think Mino nailed it with the visuals and loveable charcters. Wishing them the best for this game!

Regular Demo Update + Whack-a-specter Challenge Results

Hey everyone!! A quick reminder that the the extended Steam Next Fest demo will be ending today. Thank you so much for participating, providing feedback and more - do not worry, we will still have a demo available which features the prologue and the first map of the master raid.

And now...

We are excited to announce the winner of the Whack-a-specter-challenge! Whilst already comfortable in the lead, he decided to drop a last minute bombshell of 1.9 BILLION DAMAGE... we want to give a HUGE shoutout to MisterInSayne for their incredible single-hit damage build and for being ever present in the community! Bug: Defeated Kong Prime with poison damage, didn't unlock Fungass.

Definitely was poison damage that ended Kong, I had nearly 1,000 poison ticking on him each turn and I was running with 3 tanks that had no abilities that dealt damage.

Is Kong Prime working right?

If the tooltips are correct he gains rage when he kills mushrooms which has not been happening as I have been killing them but he gains rage anyway, then it says he loses rage when taking damage but that has not been happening either, in fact it looks like he gains it. On top of that his attack says it hits all targets for 20 damage but even with like 50 rage it was hitting everyone for over 300, now later in the turn with 125 rage because the mechanic is not doing it what it says he's only doing 75 to ea...

No internet connection

I'm just trying to download a game, but the download stopped at 66% and now it says there is no internet connection. This is an EXCLUSIVE issue with this game, as I've tried downloading a couple of other games from different publishers and everything is fine. What's going on that the game can't even be downloaded?...
