I'm not a huge fan of turn-based games that play like a deck builder, but this was... surprisingly addicting?

• A good handful of content for its launch and its price. The Campaign has around 8 episodes available for Season 1, which is set in the Water Dimension, with characters you can unlock. And even once you have completed that, you can do the Master Raid mode, which is like an endless mode for players who like to test the limits of their builds.
  
• The game provides a summary of your Expedition run and a Timer in the settings, which is good for players who like to best their personal records.
  
• Interesting enemy designs and writing. Even the earliest enemies show so much character, like the King Crab Specter, Ceviche. It has a shiny crown dangling from it's overgrown horn and even has interesting flavor dialogue such as "My golden Crown...how it sparkles in the resplendent ocean light.." and insults like "Ye of little culture!" made me laugh :)) I was not expecting to read that from a glorified crab.
  
• Vibrant, animated environments and characters in comic style is just chef's kiss.
  
• Favourite characters are silly Shork and money grubbing Shopkeep (or should I say, "Regulus"), together with their animations <3 Even without the voice acting, I can imagine what they sound like when I read the dialogue hahaha
  
  
  
  What I hope they can improve on while in the early access phase:
  
  
• I'm one of those players who is not a fan of reading tutorial windows and would rather skip it to get to the gameplay experience. Perhaps the devs can give the players the option to choose either "Skip Tutorial guide" (for players who want to learn on their own), or have a live overlay tutorial that a player can follow along and learn while playing at the same time, and it can pop in when the game presents something unfamiliar. And should the player want to read them again, they can be directed to the pause screen where they can access the tutorial guide, and show those detailed pop up windows that the current game is using.
  
• Have Setting option to "Click to use" instead of dragging an ability to the target. I find clicking faster and more efficient.
  
• Not knowing about the Resets. I wish there was a window pop up warning or an option to choose whether I keep or reset my build when I continue to the next episodes. I automatically assumed all my accumulated abilities would carry over once I click the next story, and am surprised when they don't appear and are instead replaced with new abilities.
  
• Clarity of some Abilities. Perhaps the game could issue a warning or a sound that tells me when a move's requirements are not being met, because it feels like a waste of Mana when new players make small mistakes such as using Shork's 'Cover when he has no Defense to spend for the ability.
  
• During Granny's potion shop in the tutorial, I was confused as to why my 41 remaining Gold could not buy a 40 Gold potion item. Strange.
  
• Equippable and Non-Equippable Inventory. As a new player, there are times when I receive items that I'm not sure where they are used in. I think those are one of the moments I would appreciate a tutorial popping in.
  
• Just a preference (and a bit of story spoiler), but wondering if I can see more "sad" or "concerned" emotions from Koa when he is referring to his missing Grandpa?
  
  
  There is so much potential for improvement over the next updates and fixes, but I think Mino nailed it with the visuals and loveable charcters. Wishing them the best for this game!

Dimensionals is a simple and accessible game for those who enjoy defeating villains by casually dragging the mouse while holding a cup of coffee in the other hand.

Graphics and Design
The visuals are cute and well-crafted, with a style reminiscent of games like Griftlands. Shork is adorable. The protagonist sticks to a (purposely?) generic design.

Gameplay
Simple and accessible, making it ideal for beginners or anyone looking for a more casual experience. The drag-and-drop mechanics for abilities are a little slow but functional, making the game fully playable with just a mouse — great for accessibility. The combat is straightforward yet effective, good for newcomers to turn-based tactics or players seeking a relaxed experience. It still lacks the depth of veteran titles, but it’s just launched in Early Access.

Challenge and Difficulty
The game’s early hours offer low-challenge combat, perfect for new players but possibly too simple for those looking for depth.

Technical Aspects
No bugs were encountered during the first few hours.

Overall, it’s a solid game, especially for an early access title. It has plenty of potential for growth.

Story is composed of different episodes and you slowly unlock new Dimensionals as you progress. There are 2 modes - Master raid and campaign.

With campaign, new seasons will be added later. Your group includes 3 dimensionals- a tank, a damage dealer, and support. Each dimensional has 3 slots to assign a skill or passive. The story is not fully explained yet, but your goal is to save dimensions from the bad guys.

- Character and background design is flavorful. Also, enemies have unique designs based on the dimension.
- Easy to learn and play. Tutorial does a good job explaining basics of the game.
- Starting abilities/skills on each dimensional are different for most of chapters so fights feel fresh and you can try out the skills.
- Shop is available after some fights so gold is not wasted before fights/final chapter boss.
- Synergy between specific skills, relics, and dimensional passives makes the fights more interesting.


- Each chapter felt too easy and at no point did I feel I was going to lose or in trouble. Even if you lose a dimensional, they are revived with 5 health during next fight.
- Victory screen pops up after each fight and there is not much relevant information except for coins gained and current health. Maybe they can show a summary screen on the pause menu instead.


- If enemy is attacking a certain dimensional, show a red arrow or other indicator. Currently, the player needs to hover over each enemy to check who it is attacking.
- Have auto end turn option if no mana left. Clicking end turn when there are no possible actions is an extra step for the player.
- Have feature to turn off kill quote/chat bubble when a character is about to kill the enemy. It seems unnecessary and makes fights take longer.
- Add controller support.
- Feature to skip all dialogue, speed up chat, or auto play the chat to reduce mouse clicks.
- Add hard difficulty for Season 1 episodes and future seasons.

Overall, a fun and charming turn based game. Difficulty is too easy and caters to a casual audience. In the campaign, there is lots of reading required before/after fights, however I believe a skip or speed up option is needed. With more dimensionals being added later, there will be different character combinations to try out.
