ANEURISM IV
Anamn Payout from Machine Shop Intentional?
Considering one of the stated goals of the metalworks rework was to have two different pathways for those doing metalworks to take (the slower but safer normal metalworks, then the riskier but higher paying machine shop where the higher anamn gain was offset by the greater risk of thieves/time investment) is the current anamnecyte payout bugged? Originally it was 40% per piece of tooled iron, but with it at 20% currently, there's no reason to make that trek and worry about the generator's fuel usage if you're getting the exact same payout as metalworks. The only advantage currently is that the crates require fewer items to fill, but that hardly matters when the bonus for closing one is 10%.

Currently it sits barren 90% of the time unless someone is making axels or plates for a gun, knife, or repair kit.

I wondered about that. I thought "logically this will pay out more" but no it just did 20%, same as metalworks, which of course renders it a pointless waste of time.
Maybe it's an unintentional change? I can think of no real reason for it to be this way, seems redundant to even include it if so.

I hope it was just something they broke by accident while fixing the variety of crate bugs when v15 first dropped. It used to be 40% during the preview, but come the actual launch it was bugged like all other crates, then eventually became 20% after those bugs were fixed.

I'd certainly appreciate another choice of job considering metalworks is usually full, ration factory is unavailable, distillery is boring and laundry just kinda sucks.
Some roles earn so slowly compared to proles, i'd like to be do a job that earns well and isn't constantly full.

Doesn't help that Distillery is locked behind finding a jerry can now too, so 80% of people can't do it, which then further worsens the overcrowding at metalworks.
I don't know if it's intentional but I hope the machine shop pay returns to it's former glory. (Or perhaps surpasses it)

laundry is meta
Unironically. When there's 50+ people on, you're better off doing laundry than fighting for scraps at metal works.
