Indigo Park

Indigo Park

Indigo Park, is kinda mid ( but not like trash like everybody says it is )
I played through it, and I tried to enjoy it. It's just that I got kinda tired of these types of games though so I may be particularly biased for what I have to say.

In my opinion, it's unoriginal yet also creative at the same time, it really follows the same basic formula with there being some "ally" who helps you. However if I'm being honest allies like Rambley that are shoved into your face just detract from what the game is, horror. Even on the occasion he stops talking the game isn't that scary and doesn't make you feel like you've been pulled from that safe spot because I still know that they can't touch me regardless.

Unlike in games which are unintentionally scary like Subnautica, it's a lot harder to put a child looking mascot and actually have them be scary and it doesn't help with the fact that they look relatively clean. They don't have any sort of decay or wear and tear that could do wonders to help make them just even a bit more imposing. Another thing is that unlike those games you don't really have anything to lose, you kinda just die and restart over ( basically every horror game ) you are pulled out of that dread or experience. Since it's just so linear with it's chase scenes and encounters I couldn't help but just become immune.

Mollie Macaw, I only died to twice however I read the piece of advice it gave me, however it's not like I had time to think about that considering that it basically is meaningless considering they in question couldn't really use it effectively. I could still treat it.

It's not garbage like everyone says it is as I can see passion is actually put into it

Also, I know he's a starting game dev but this whole thing is basically the foundation for what Chapter 2 has to build off of in the long run, they killed Mollie off who had barely any screen time so there's nothing they can do with them in question and they felt really underutilized for their ability to mimic and copy people's voices.

People are saying it's trash? I found it incredibly well done and everyone who I know that played it said the same.

I've seen much more successful horror games that are far worse and less interesting.

Yeah, some guy was going on. I just think that it's lacking a lot of things, though that might just come from the fact mascot horror is just in a state where it really feels like everything is latching onto formula.

To put it in a simpler way if I see something like this for the first time, it's going to be good it'll feel unique. Though that's not the case, there's many which follow this same chapter, long run and linear format. Though Rambley takes the spotlight, he takes up too much of it and really detracts what from a horror game is supposed to be. There's not much making up for it because of the fact that it's introducing tropes and reusing a predictable formula.

After Poppy Playtime I just kinda got tired of it.

Lemme guess it’s rocketgreentea lmao

In all honesty I think FNAF, BATIM, Poppy Playtime, Amanda and the Adventurer, and Indigo Park are the main big mascot horror games that are actually good.
Wait, other people are saying it is garbage? I thought only I gave it a negative review in recent history, and even I gave it credit in some departments like Rambley being cute.

It’s FNAF glazers calling it garbage and a FNAF ripoff, as usual.
too many invisible walls for my liking

I would say in some aspects you could kind of call it garbage, and be harsh on it but if they're being harsh on it only to give barely any good constructive criticism that's how you know their trying to clown farm.

At worst Indigo Park is mid. I just get tired of the repetitiveness of mascot horror.
