I wish renderware was still a thing
It doesn't feel the same on a different engine.. it's faster but less precise if that makes sense.... Like the inputs don't register fast enough

Only THPS3 uses RenderWare, also RenderWare only handled the DISPLAYING of the game. It has nothing to do with the mechanics, for Tony Hawk. (TH3 predates many later Renderware conveniences too)

But yes, this game is mid.

I just purchased the 2012 HD version on Amazon for 10 bucks and it is utter trash.

As I said, this is a false common misconception; Pro Skater 4 - American Wasteland are an in-house engine.

You're free to ask ex-employees on sites like Twitter, you don't have to just hear it from me.

HD from 2012 was done by Robomodo, they also made ""Pro Skater 5". Parts of them are in the 1+2 code base.

That's like saying creation engine is not the same as Gamebryo...
While that statement is true, it's basically the same engine up until 2012 HD version which used unreal engine

Renderwear was the engine but they modified it a bit.
