The Quinfall – A Disjointed Asset Flip That’s Not Worth $20 (or $2, much less $8)

I was gifted this game when it recently dropped to $2, and its like getting Bangcocked in deeznuts.

This game doesn’t live up to the "hype". It is currently plagued with severe technical issues, lackluster combat, and uninspired content that makes it difficult to enjoy.

After spending time with the game, I can confidently say that this game is nowhere near ready for release, even as an Early Access title. The biggest problem? It feels like a collection of random Unity Store assets slapped together rather than a cohesive, well-designed game. And for $20, that’s simply unacceptable.

**A Frankenstein's Monster of Store-Bought Assets**

From the very start, *The Quinfall* gives off the impression that it was cobbled together using pre-made assets with little effort to blend them into a unified world. Environments feel disconnected, NPCs have no personality or fluidity, and animations are so stiff they make *early-2000s MMORPGs* look advanced. The world is technically huge, but that scale means nothing when it’s filled with soulless, generic assets that don’t mesh together. There’s no distinct artistic vision—just a grab bag of whatever was available on the Unity store.

**Combat and Gameplay: Clunky, Lifeless, and Not Worth the Effort**
If you’re hoping for engaging combat, *The Quinfall* will disappoint. Animations are robotic, hit detection is awful, and there’s zero weight to attacks. Whether you’re swinging a sword or firing a bow, everything feels unresponsive and floaty. Enemies barely react to attacks, and the AI is so simplistic that fights are either laughably easy or frustratingly broken. It’s the kind of combat that makes you want to quit within minutes.

**Questing and Exploration: A Giant, Empty Sandbox**
The game’s world is massive, but there’s nothing to do. You’ll run through large stretches of land with no meaningful interactions, and the few quests available are mind-numbingly dull. The majority of them involve basic fetch tasks or “kill X enemies” objectives, with little storytelling or world-building. It all feels like an afterthought, as if the developers just dropped in pre-made quest markers without considering how they fit into the game.

**Technical Issues: Rushed and Unpolished**
For $20, you’d expect a somewhat functional game, but *The Quinfall* is a technical disaster. Bugs are everywhere—NPCs vanish, enemies get stuck, quests fail to trigger, and the UI is an absolute mess. The game’s tutorial barely explains anything, and core mechanics feel either broken or unfinished. This isn’t an Early Access title that just needs a bit of polish; it’s one that feels like it’s still in early development.

**Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs**
Unless *The Quinfall* undergoes a complete overhaul, I can’t recommend it to anyone. It’s an unpolished, disjointed mess that doesn’t justify its $20 price tag. If you’re looking for an MMORPG to sink your time into, you’re far better off playing literally anything else.

**What *The Quinfall* Does Terribly:**
- **Feels like a Unity Store asset dump** – The world lacks cohesion, and everything looks slapped together.
- **Unpolished and unfinished** – Bugs, missing NPCs, and broken mechanics everywhere.
- **Terrible combat** – Unresponsive, floaty, and unsatisfying mechanics make fights a chore.

- **Not worth $20** – For the current level of quality, this game should be free or in a much earlier testing phase.

If you’re thinking about buying *The Quinfall*, save your money. Maybe—*maybe*—it’ll be worth checking out in the distant future if it gets a complete overhaul. But in its current state? It’s nothing more than a $20 lesson in how not to release an MMORPG.

The game is so bad, that even quitting the game crashes the game and you have to ALT-F4 to quit.

It's a fully functional MMO. Most bad reviews are about rough launch, nothing unusual for MMOs.
Will it be game of the year ? No.
But for the price It's very easy to get money worth of entertainment out of it.
My favorite thing about this game is vast world you can ride and explore.
Very hopeful for this game. Need to upgrade my PC to play more of it.
It's amazing how much tech has advanced that small studio can pull something like this off.
I would recommend, but dont expect WOW killer.
