I just won my first ever run with no background knowledge.

Recently I decided to follow a kind of "trend" from the Holo and started playing without hacking. It feels like the game has become much more interesting and varied, honestly. For example, drones have become much more useful, because now you don't need to save drone parts and the system slot, and you can regularly use a defense drone, a hull repair drone, or a setup of two combat 1 drones for gunships even without drone recovery arm. Moreover, there is more scrap in the first sectors for other improvements...

Wayyyy too hard and rng reliant to be worth playing anymore. Edit: Thanks for the awards guys and this is probably the biggest topic this games ever gotten, clearly the vast majority of people here agree with me. hoping ftl2 can fix this if there is one, this is a really great game and concept but phew! edit 2: this is clearly the biggest thread in this games history a lot of agreeing and stuff plus all the awards showing support. lads we really cooked on this one our voices are heard...

Genuine question is losing the fun part or is that a massive gaslight. Like yeah the game's fun but also its kinda annoying when the wrath of god shreds my ship in 15 seconds
