That was an issue introduced with the Workshop build, it should not happen in this pre-Workshop one. There will be no bugfixes happening to either build as we simply do not have the resources to do so.
Thanks again!
I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work with a save created playing this build. Please do me let me know the results in the thread though.
Just to clarify the "client connecting to host" and "only the host" bit, you are saying that you were the client during the entire session in a co-op game, correct? It wasn't a case of you were playing solo and someone tried to connect to you during that mission and it crashed your game?
Also, I'm assuming this is one long play session from the start of the game? I believe that's at least a couple of hours of gameplay to get to that point. Restarting and replaying that mission worked okay?
That sucks, such a great game.
* Right click on Saints Row IV in your Steam library and choose Properties
* Go to the BETAS tab and enter the following password and click the Check Code button:
sdafsdacnucpsacsyuiacyusbacuidsa
* Once the code is accepted, the pre_mod_test branch will be available in the dropdown to select a beta. Select it, and close the Properties window. Steam will then download this beta branch automatically (you should see it kick off in your Downloads Manager immediately.)
Make sure that both you and your co-op partner both do all the above steps before playing together with this test branch.
is this part neccesary i mean in my opinion that [pre_mod_test] near game name list is pretty annoy
Yes.
Save files with Workshop are in a different converted format and not compatible with the orginal build (i.e. this test one.) You will need to create a new save to use this build.
Yes I was the client connecting to someone else, and restarting the game and continuing worked without any issues
had a minor issue just now. i could't aim while in a vehicle. upon restart, it's working as normal.
so far no crashes to desktop. woo hoo!
reloading the game, and starting the mission without gang members it started fine.
Thanks for saving this game for your fans! Hours of making my wife mad and ignoring my kids to get some blue screen rays and unload some stress by blowing sh!t up in my near future!
