You could say it's linear and handholdy, but that would be selling the game short. At the end of the day Dead Space is just really, really fun to play. Story is nothing really special, but it makes you crawl through the bowels of Ishimura and that's all it needs to do. As all the good games Dead Space just compels you to play, a testament to a great game design. Not really a survival horror, more like survival horror shooter, the game clearly took it's inspiration from Resident Evil 4. Smooth combat, great dismembering mechanics and spooky atmosphere it's all executed very well. Art design is great too, very distinct look of everything around. Don't know why they decided to remade it, the game still looks outstanding and plays very smooth.

No longer works on Windows 10. I love Dead Space but this product is ♥♥♥♥, after several years I wanted to go back and play the original. Hitting play I get a black screen that kicks me out to my desktop. I did some trouble shooting for the issue apparently it has to do with CPU's above 10 cores. Ridiculous. At this rate future generations won't be able to play the games their forefathers did.

Great game but can't recommend it on steam at least, with every windows update it makes the game more and more unplayable, get it on GOG galaxy if u want a playable version.
