I don't know why this game has "mixed" reviews.

It has potential and just got out of Early Access, even tho it's perfectly playable and enjoyable as is.

Its not bad, but not great either.
I'm sure others will compare it to Roboquest but design/feel-wise its honestly a lot closer to Deadlink. (though I think I had more fun in that one)
Overall the game is kind of unremarkable in its genre. I'll give some positive and negative quick-fire reasons why.
-Some of the guns feel pretty good while others feel terrible and desperately need buffs to range/damage.
-With so many abilities and weapons hidden behind unlock currency, your choices feel pretty limited.
-"meemo" your little companion/tutorial guy is cute, but literally never shuts up. Seeing as there is no voice acting, this means you constantly have text boxes on your screen of him yapping, the bosses for that zone do the same thing.
-on that note, the writing is super PG/family friendly. to the point it feels like its directed at little kids. (main character literally says "oh HACK" as an example..)
-the different zones or "towers" you go through have a lot of detail put into them. The level design is solid, but after your 4th or 5th run, theres almost nothing new to see.

Despite all of this, it is pretty fun. Combos with low health enemies and the elemental explosions are fun, the different suits you can wear help keep things interesting. I just wish there was less of a focus on grind and the weapons/abilities were balanced better.

I feel like this one barely did enough for me to recommend it. 6/10
Play if you're REALLY craving an FPS roguelike and youve exhausted other options

Not sure what everyone was expecting from this. Its a decent $25 roguelike arena shooter, its not $60 promising a ton of content with a long pipeline of content on the way. 4 classes is fine, weapon variety is good, abilities are fine, everything works fine and looks great. Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up to thumbs down a completely competent shooter because it doesnt offer 100+ hours of content with loads of diversity and unlocks. The only thing i agree on is the performance could be better but thats fixable and only happens when explosions are everywhere and bouncing around.

Maybe my standards are lower, but not every single game needs to be 100+ hours of content, unlocks, and diverse gameplay. Its FINE for the price.
