Does sombedy knows the usage of the "plunger-harpoon"?, I have been trying about 2 hours trowing it to everything and it doesn't work

Have devs abandoned this project or do they plan to fix it into playable state and make this barebone broken alpha build into working game? Because there are pages upon pages of bug and glitch issues that havent been fixed in 3,5 years since this project existed. So is there future or is this just another cash grab? For example maybe instead of adding more broken mechanics devs should fix base game and fix and improve existing ones to playable state?...
