All of them are ugly. Like, really really ugly. Does it get better? Can it?
My characters are all horrendously ugly. I'm getting uncanny valley just looking at their eyes. Jesus.
Normally I'm all about art style > graphics but it's bad enough here that I'm seriously considering a refund.

Normally I'd be able to put up with it too but they make sure to shove me up REAL close to their faces every time they want to chat so I can be reminded of my mistakes.

So. Does it get better? Is there a mod that helps? A setting I can flip? Do I just suck at character creation? Or should I get my money back and run?

No, it doesn't get better. If you can't take it, get the refund.

They're not pretty, but I don't find them ugly. Then again, I almost never pay attention to graphics. If you refund you'll be missing out on a great game though.

I have heard it's a good game. I may be back if it ever goes on sale. I just can't stand how it looks though- conclave looks better and it's literally all static images. I can't justify 40 bucks for it.

Ya, the char models were jarring my first few tries. They look like low budget asset flips or from a school project.

On the whole, though, the game is entertaining, definitely satisfies the dollars-per-hours-played requirement i have.

Just skip those cutscenes.

It's about the same as Neverwinter Nights 2 imo, give or take.

The sad thing is that it's ONLY the faces, everything else looks solid to servicable...except maybe hands which kind of look a bit...off.

The characters are indeed....ugly. That is a fact. It is a fact, acknowledged by T.A. There is a mod, Community Expansion 2, where in all of the NPC faces become eligible to use in character creation. But as for modding faces to REALLY make them hundreds of times better (like in Elder scrolls(, that so far is not possible. Oh it may be possible to DO, but at the moment, it is not possible to inject those mods into the game. T.A> did not design/implement the Dungeon Maker, with that capability.

Speaking of Elder Scrolls, I personally think Solasta is at least not on the same level as vanilla Skyrim...god everyone in Skyrim looks dirty and like they just lost 4 back-to-back bar fights, except for the Khajits and the Argonians.

True, but still I didn't think Skyrim characters that looked good even 10 years ago personally.

But I've always been a graphical style>graphical fidelity guy so make of that what you will.

and NOBODY compared the games in that sense. Strawman. I merely stated that T.A. did not follow the TES blueprint in the Dungeon Maker, thus leaving modders unable to modify faces, clothes, weapons, armor etc...in appearance.

I think it's less "Unable to" and more "Highly inconvenient and impractical for a niche title" and lacking in personnel with the skillset to do so if what I've heard from the CE devs is true.

I don't find the characters ugly. At all. What the heck are people seeing? I'm playing on xbox so maybe it's a computer graphics issue. They aren't final fantasy character awesome in design, but they aren't hideous or repulsive to look at.

That topic stopped being talked about multiple posts ago. You were responding to the guy who said he thinks solasta faces are better than skyrims, to which you said Skyrim was 10 years old. Has nothing to do with the creation kit. Keep up
