Trek Knight (Star Trek : Frontiers) - Tragic Edition
Using Attack Wing Meshes.
Hi Tragic,

Could you walk me throught the basic steps you used to import the Attack Wing meshes into your mod? I am not familiar with 3D modeling, and I am working on my own Star Trek mod. I would like to use meshes in the same way you did, with the ship bases invisible and the ship a bit larger and lower.

um... I loaded the meshes into a 3D APP called "Modo"... but you can use the free opensource app "blender". Then I just deleted the base and dropped the mesh down a little. Make sure the ship is hovering above the 0,0,0 point of the plane. Finally I made a small cylinder. This is being used as the collision mesh. This is to define height and stuff. It is also why the ship parts to not bump into things, as the collision mesh is like a pillar inside it.
