The Hidden Chests
There are 14 (or was it 16) scattered about with an item inside. I know 3 of them.. King's Landing. Winterfell. Starfall. Where are the others? As for opening them, it seems you must be the Master of that town or castle (or possibly village?)

Lannisport (Armour), Castle Black (Obsidian Spear). There are several more but they don't have anything in them

Actually the game files show every single chest has something in it now.

Yes, I can see them and what's in them, but not where they are located. There are 14.

Well what's in them? The object might give a clue as to where it is

You're right, some have a clue.

1. Obsidian Spear (Castle Black)
2. King's Hammer (King's Landing past destructible gate near tree)
3. Banner
4. Ice (Winterfell by the tree)
5. Lannister Heavy Armour (Lannisport)
6. Obsidian Spear & Obisidian Arrows
7. Bolton Heavy Leather
8. Karstark Leather
9. Umber Lordly Leather
10. Riverlands Leather
11. Frey Lordly Leather
12. (Iron Islands) Light Plate
13. King's Surcoat
14. Dawn (Starfall)
