You make some very good points. I agree, especially in regards to the detrimental nerfing of tournaments making the early game even more grindy and less fun while ironically making alternative gameplay paths less viable and subsequently decreasing replay value all the while further alienating the non-hardcore fan base of the mod. I think nerfing tournaments was a poor game design decision and others have echoed this repeatedly.
I really appreciate the challenge of the mod & has made it impossible to go back to vanilla or any other mod. Personally, I find these changes don’t add to the rewarding feeling of overcoming the steep challenge & mainly slows the pace down while making aspects of the game considerably less worth engaging in the farther you get. I’ll always recommend & support the mod, just wanted to give some thoughts on some of the new changes.
Strongly recommend using WSE2. It takes away most of the crashes in mod and makes mod a lot more optimized.
