Come with decent troops that would pull their weight in a fight, have a valyrian steel weapon (Maybe a couple of companions as well), and have the setting on "mouse" and battle AI to easiest, otherwise it becomes much harder.

Yeah I'm new to this mod so I didnt know I could bring troops

If you are siding with House Stark and win the battle both outside and inside the twin you should save House Stark majority of the time. It is not a guarantee, even wining, House Stark may still be destroyed.

I usually have six to ten companions and around one hundred of my own troops when I join the battle. I have never lost the actual battle in 6+ attempts, but the Starks can still be killed during the fighting and Bolton still becomes Warden of the North.
