plz buff the pistols
they feel very overwhelming conisdering there firing a bigger bullet then a desert eagle 50 action express

OPTRE pistols' stats already pose an issue in which the AI units default to using pistols for long-range engagements instead of long guns, apparently because the pistols have better accuracy.
Agreed. also the binocs too somehow. additionally please add 2 versions of the smartlink and for the ODST pistol an option for RDS or that wierd version of the reticle. its a neat idea, but i prefer precision aiming abilities over blinding pumping lead into a target until they fall

addionally the same for some of the rifles. its cool but i'd rather have the old school version with the scope system

But you are going with the pistol of halo: CE so they should act like a sniper. It was a bug but it would still be nuce for consistancy

I'm not sure I really understand. As it stands, the pistol has a very high base damage and good armor penetration, and we've increased the recoil. I'm not sure we can do much more to improve it without just making it absolutely overpowered.

as its standing it baraly does more damage then the base game pistols

Most medieval handgonnes and arquebuses were .50 caliber or larger. Bullet size doesn't have a whole lot to do with ballistic performance by itself.

Most likely, yes, but my point is that damage depends on many other factors, aside from shot placement; primarily the velocity of the projectile when it hits you. Smaller projectiles can still do more damage than larger ones if they go a lot faster.

That is simply incorrect. The thing one-shots vanilla units. OPTRE units just have very good armor to mitigate their powerful weapons.

there is a sweet spot for speed to fast and it will just enter and leave and do nothing. however smaller and faster can increase penetration.

Can we take it the other way? I vote we nerf the pistols. I don't like when I get into combat and half of the AI switch over to their handguns for 300 meter engagements.

If they do that you're going to complain that everything kills you too fast and that you want them to buff the armor.
