Florence must form Tuscany to get Tuscan ideas.Paradox made this change in 1.16.

What was the reason behind the decision, that policies should have both positive and negative modifiers? I already pay monthly with my monarch points, which are worth a lot. So why add negative modifiers to them, which makes them in some cases bad instead of balanced. Addditionally, if you go over some of the idea groups I can't even see all policies, as the list is cut at the top, because it stretches over my whole screen. The majority of people does NOT have 1080 pixels on the y-axis of the screen. Of course the inflexibility of the UI is PDS's fault, but that's not an excuse.

One policy I can only laugh at is The Diplomatic Cooperation, which costs 1 DIP per month and gives me 1 diplomatic relation slot (DRS), but reduces diplomatic reputation (DR) by 2.

What I potentially gain from 1 DRS is 1 less DIP per month and maybe a reduced "too many diplomatic relations" modifier for some diplomatic actions. The policy itself costs 1 DIP per month, so the first benefit is canceled out, which leaves us with a reduced modifier for alliance requests or similar diplomatic actions. But since your DR was reduced by 2, that also affects diplomatic actions negatively, leaving you with a negligable effect on those actions.

I'm not sure about this, but usually you're stuck with a policy for 10 years before you can disable it. If that holds true for this mod, too, it makes the policy possibly cost you more than you gain, which makes it even worse, as the extra DRS may not even be needed the whole time, but still costing you the 1 DIP per month.

The price-performance ratio is miserable, as it seems, you did not take the 1 ADM/DIP/MIL per month into account when you "balanced" this.

The reason is simple:All policies cost no MP now.

I didn't even know that the monthly cost was moddable, cool. I guess it really is simple, thanks. I would suggest writing this in the ingame mod manual; I didn't find that information there.

P.S.: Please, don't tell me next, that I was just blind and it was in there =/

Love your mod. I enjoy modding eu4 in my spare time as well, could you tell me how it is that you removed the policy's MP cost?

Policy's MP cost is defined in defines.lua.I don't remember its exact name(something like MONTHLY_POLICY_COST maybe) but you can easily find it yourself.

They are not compatible I'm afraid.

I love the amount of depth this mod adds into the already complex gameplay EU4 offers. I've seen tons of people asking about compatability with extended timeline. I realize that it would be a daunting task to make the mods compatible considering how much you have added so i was wondering if alternatively you would consider adding some elements of extended timeline into your mod i.e a new map, new technologies, 9999 end date etc.
