Literacy Growth Model
All you need to know about the literacy growth :D


Base literacy growth:
0.006 /the very base of literacy value, could be added/subtracted by other literacy growth value

Value add/subtract to base literacy growth:

Growth from Commerce(Tax in vanilla):
-Every commerce increace 0.002 literacy growth

Growth from Production:
-Every production increace 0.002 literacy growth

Growth from Agriculture(Manpower in vanilla):
-Every Agriculture decrease 0.0013(1/750) literacy growth

Growth from Devastation:
-Each percent of Devastation decrease 0.001 literacy growth




Buildings/policys/province edicts:

Temple:
--Increase 0.01 literacy growth
--Decrease 15% literacy growth from agriculture
--Decrease overall literacy modifier by 10%

Cathedral(Replace temple):
--Increase 0.03 literacy growth
--Decrease 30% literacy growth from agriculture
--Decrease overall literacy modifier by 20%

Church school:
--Increase 0.005 literacy growth
--Decrease 10% literacy growth from agriculture

Controlled by church estate:
--Increase 0.005 literacy growth
--Decrease 10% literacy growth from agriculture
--Decrease overall literacy modifier by 10%

Education reform(Russia Only):
--Increase 0.02 literacy growth

Province in trade company:
--Increase 0.01 literacy growth
--Decrease overall literacy modifier by 50%

University:
--Increase 0.01 literacy growth
--Increase overall literacy modifier by 25%

Public school:
--Increase 0.06 literacy growth
--Increase overall literacy modifier by 20%

Indian caste system:
--Decrease 0.005 literacy growth
--Decrease overall literacy modifier by 25%

Higher education lv1(in triggered modifiers)(global effect):
--Increase 0.004 literacy growth
--Increase overall literacy modifier by 10%

--Increase 0.006 literacy growth
--Increase overall literacy modifier by 20%

Higher education lv3:
--Increase 0.008 literacy growth

Calculation:

Overall Base literacy growth = Base growth + Commerce/production growth - agriculture * (1 - agriculture modifiers) + Buildings/policies/province edicts/Ideas/Technologies/Institutions

Final literacy growth = Overall Base literacy growth * ( 1 + Overall literacy modifiers ) - base growth from Literacy

Awesome, thanks for this! I've been looking through the mod files when im curious how something works, but i've avoided going in depth into the literacy and development growth since theres just so much with similar variable names, so i hadn't realized some of these modifiers existed :-)
