Mess with a Bees
In past AFAIR when you leave your appiaries - everything just freezes till you back.

For now - when you leave - production is freezes, but it seems queen lifespan keep going till she dies and then drones become dying. Offline. So when i am back from my adventures - all what i see that there no bees in any apiaries at all (and its not a mites), and almost nothing produced. So i must remove bees from their slots before leaving? Is it intended this way?

I feel all this bee-stuff became overburden for today... Prefered biomes\flowers - nice features, new frames and bee spieces - great. Stats and Genocodes... well, "ok", should be fine? - untill you figure that they all have "unidentified" status, so you need research each single larva, each single drones, everything takes it own slots, so many actions with a microscope, mess with categorizing all this stuff... And then drones even with a absolutely same genocodes and stats may not stack in one slot and count as a "wrong" drones to the same stats queen, so you dealyng now with mess bunch of drones from just one spiece the, idk... All this just stops any efforts to use that content

It's designed to be a system that involves actual effort. It can be automated, to a degree, but only so far. The end-result is well worth the effort. That aside, it most certainly is deep and not for everyone.

Bees work in your absence, even off-world, so bear that in mind. Queens still age, etc , when you are not there.

That link breaks literally everything down for you.

Actaully he's right, bees DON'T work in your absence so that's false, they only age and die, you lose any potential production they would have had even leaving the active screen area. The same happens for the advanced colonies (mark 2 deed rent collection, resource production in recycle bins/sewage/blood drive...). Leaving the active screen ends production. If they are meant to work in the players absence then something is broken.

That said the bees are amazingly useful even with this major limitation. I run nuclear power with near endless fuel by having about 7 hives spaced apart on active screen area around the power plant/arc smelter setup and just have my character sleep in a pixel printed station medical bed while the bee lifespan runs out (usually browse webpages or run a tree planting cycle durring), coming back to harvest later.

After a week of breeding experiments i must confess, yeah, this is great. And so addictive! Now i see a whole implementation and mutual influence research+bees production+craft, that makes bee-stuff just in right place. Great job.
