Please Help!
So i had a BYOS ship, which is lovely. Until i try and figure out how to get more crewmates, and go tot he quest to upgrade my ship, which honestly there should be a way to disable that quest because that quest spawned a massive invisible piece of ♥♥♥♥ that has made my entire BYOS ship unusable, anyway to downgrade my ship or otherwise restore it?

Gaining crew is directly explained in the BYOS tutorials. You cannot "upgrade" your ship in BYOS the way you do in vanilla. You chose the BYOS option to upgrade your ship, yourself, by building it. You require crew beds or crew deeds (one or the other, NOT both).

check the options in the MISC section of your SAIL computer. if nothing there helps, then you're stuck as far as I know. Hubnester might know more, though.

the licenses and number of crew mates ways all require your ship to be the tier before the upgrade

so since the ship is tier 0, it's not valid for getting any of the upgrade quests in vanilla (your ship needs to be at minimum tier 3 to qualify for any of them)

this tells me you either didnt read at all, or have conflicts installed. Check the incompatible list.
