I have installed the Gigantic Floating Island on my The Center map (looks like it's designed for it). This is good because most other floating islands clip since The Center has tall structures.

The Gigantic Island is located around 75x55 in the air. It's pretty high up and big. It's above the water that streams through the ruin areas. It has tons of Redwoods and some resources (could use some more metal rocks). It has glowing circles on the end of the corners which is a cool effect at night. It does have the log from The Island maps Redwoods area you can fly your fliers through :) Watch the video below Tomhud flys through it!

Dinos are spawning up there! I have seen a ton of them. My mods are also spawning up there (New Bush People, Mega Dinos). So this is very cool. It's fun to watch them fall off too! Might want to do a wild dino wipe when you install it so it populates fast.

I have 4-5 big bases, mods, etc under it and have NO lag. This is great. Some other floating islands cause a lag when you get close. I live under it and another player with 20 dinos, 3 bases, etc. So you shouldn't have any issues in that department. The mod is: 141.754 MB so not bad at all. Loads in fast before the game starts (says Pandora Isle since he didn't change the name from the template).

If you want to add Redwoods into the game and have a cool floating island, this is the best option for The Center. It's perfect. I will probably leave it in game even when The Center DLC gets Redwoods. AWESOME JOB! 9/10!
