AI research
to the account of ai research, waited one year for the minor and tagged the majors. most of them do not use 2 or 3 research slots, and study technologies that are 2-3 years ahead of their time

im currently in 1913 in my playthrough, does this have more of an effect in the late game because i intend to reach the 40s in my playthrough wont be much fun if the ai doesnt evolve alongside

if you don't play ironman, try "tag ger" in the console and see what research germany is doing, for example

watch out to see if the AI really does search for a long time. Because it manages to do a few searches and then searches the base game that aren't normally available and then nothing.
