3K+ The limit on the star systems?

Is 3000+ the limit on the number of star systems? Any way to create bigger maps?

That would already be taxing the majority of systems heavily, especially in the late game...

Late game can chug on the largest maps once your sensors have vision of everything.

Now with the 4.0 updates any chance of getting a map with more than 3k? I have played the game with the MOD on a 25k map and its works just fine.
