He means that mod description clearly says it's compatible with 4.1.5, not 4.1.6

@ Vantezzle: the base game is the current version, so is the mod. base game without mods ist working fine.

hi,
although my saystem has 16 GB RAM, the game stucks and chrashes at 60% in the loading screen. vanilla game starts and works fine. stellaris version ist 4.1.6 lyra. other DLCs and mods are disabled. any ideas?

Found a bug with the confederation of Earth. When you build the Mars Utopia with the confederation, its not useable. You can click on it, but nothing happens.

@david, doesnt the dominion already aggressively expand? :)

in my current game as borg, the dominion have been attacking east, and south east against klingons and romulans

how can i play the undine, because i only use this mod and the undine have all their economy bugged i.e. because it needs drones but they don't become drones, i am playing in 4.1.6

Got a bug playing as the Dominion: My Vorta pops will not take the Vorta Administrator Job even when it is prioritized, Jem´Hadar Honoured Firsts work just fine.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but if you get Consecrated Worlds, how do you go about consecrating a world within the mod? I couldn't find anything on Discord, and can't seem to find any decisions or anything in game. Not a major priority or anything, just wanted to bring it up.

Did you "Authors" do a update, my 4.1.5 game near the end of the first year of play went from all my Garidians being "materialist" to new characters after a command to update "for hire" ... I'd tried that after I noticed everyone started materialist and my first update of "for hire" just produced more materialists. Thanks for all the work you do keeping up with Stellaris changes!!!

@Russ - I tried playing the Cardassians from the mirror universe map and they have the same issue as the prime universe Cardassians not being able to finish the contact stage 3 with the Breen. I have both save files if you need to check.

@Grayhorse - nothing has changed here, as long as you have the united federation of planets flag it should send you to the right tech section to research member world tech as normal. Is this not happening for you?

So question. I am fooling around with the mod. Playing the fed of course. Found somethings that have changed and want to make sure its by design.

1. Prior to the update, as the fed, with the science station I could learn tech from races who joined the federation like vulcan weapons, vulcan ships, andorian ships, and such. Now though, when I click on the tab to do that, I just get the ability to modify general sciences, not learn the special tech. Has that gone away?

2. When the Federation learns new tech like section 31, ships of the line, etc when I click to learn it I am getting the default tech planetary campuses research, and not the information regarding the the tech I clicked on. In research I can actually learn the right research, so its a display issue only.

3. Alloys seem to be more needed now for duranium and such. Also did alloy cost go up? 20 alloy for 1 duranium seems a bit excessive. Didnt it use to be 10?

4. And this one I actually like, but now for the Mars Utopia, you now have to build in in space and on land? Dont get me wrong, I dont mind this, it slows the fed down some, but just wondering.

Romulans don't seem to have new ship designs. Indeed I've completed the entire engineering branch of research in the mid 23rd century and I'm stuck with 1st generation starship designs. Also you don't seem to be able to invade pre-warp civs. You have the option, but their's no advancement.

@Russ - Playing the Cardassians and having started the contact process with the Breen it seems to be stuck on stage 3. I had this happen the last time I played the Cardassians a few years back so it has been around for a while.

Imagine this: in the late game, you have a 300 MB game save that is a text file. A 300 MB text file is so huge that several libraries couldn't fill it. And this file has to check almost every entry every game day. This isn't a perfect comparison, but it's just to illustrate why it's impossible to make it as efficient “forever” as it is in the early game.
You have a really good PC that you don't need to upgrade (except for the read and write speed of the local storage drive, such as m2 or similar, with up to 1 GB/s).
Enjoy the slowdown, you should have enough to get by in the endgame XD.

I absolutely love this mod and play it all the time. I recently upgraded from laptop to a pc running an nvidia rtx 5090, intel core ultra 9 285k, with 64 gb ram, and late game on the official map (1400+ galaxy) with max graphics and a slight increase on population output still slows down a lot. is it possible to play this game to late game with large populations or is it just to intensive for computers today? Is there anything else I can do to speed up my computer for late game? I have nothing else running, and the settings are set to performance with no limiters that I can find.

@Nath Cutter Slade on page 7 offered this advice: It's a base game/vanilla bug.
Deleting the "settings.txt" file and restarting the game will fix this.

C:\Users\yourpcname\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris

Also, make sure to remove your custom empires (move to a different folder or delete).

I used it early this morning to clear a 100% then ctd problem.

How can I play this mod if it has a higher version than the actual main game? The mod doesn't work for me because the version of the mod doesn't match the latest version of the main game. I also can't downgrade it to the latest game version. So how can I play it?

Thanks for fixing the Husnock map, it is playable now, however the ships are still broken. The game starts with Husnock style frigates and basic vessels but after discovering Destroyers, the shipset defaults to the generic ships. I did a test play all the way to Cruisers and then started getting Bajoran ships. The original Husnock ships from previous versions no longer appear.

I made an error with regards to the Cardassian sci vessel. Hadn't played them in a while and forgot that you needed advanced ship tech to get the components section working. Also thank you for keeping the fixes coming. If only the actual game companies would be so helpful.

Trying out the Cardassians to test the observation post invade a minor race option. Got the Explorer sci vessel and I can place weapons on it but the section where you place the science, weapon, engineering, and repair components won't let me place that section. No other ship types seem to have any issues like that so far.

@Shadowke76 - the borg species number mechanic has some issues since PDX changed some of the code it relied on, its on our to do list to fix, but not near the top

@Russ - When I was playing as the Romulans just before the mod was updated to the 4.1.5 version, I tried invading a minor race using the observation post. It let me use the option, but after about 10-15 years went by and still no invasion I was wondering if it was bugged out. Thought maybe the mod team might want to check it out just in case.

Playing the Borg, you still get no species number when you find another civ and the system that you encounter another civ is always Qo'nos. I'm already happy that the El Aurian don't expand anymore (I've found it really odd)
