So about the Planet bombardment message

Bug: Habitat destruction

When you nuke or glass a habitat, it ends up turning in to an actual planet. Instead, if should probably just wipe out the colony on it, similar to how it works with Ringworlds, or just straight up remove it entirely and don't leave anything behind.
