[Archive] Rdav's PVP Homing Missile Script
Not firing
This is one of the biggest problems i have with this script. I cant get the timer to start again when it is supposed to have "Trigger now" and i think that may be the cause. But the problem is the programable blck will activate the thruster and thrust forward without stopping and it wont even turn torwards the target it just flies in one direction with no aim. If anyone knows how please let me know because i feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot because i cant fix this

Sounds like the script might have thrown an error, if you look at the programmable block it might say 'exeption...etc' basically an error message, does this happen? If so there are two possible solutions depending on your set up.

Rdav's test world works, but he did the timer setup a bit differently there. The timer first runs the programming block, then triggers itself AND THEN runs the timer. When I set it up the same way, it works.

EDIT: I read the tutorial more carefully and it says exactly that. Not sure why I didn't catch it earlier. I also didn't read that the sensor has to be called "sensor" and called it "A", like the rest of the blocks. It's a bit unintuitive. I'd like the sensor to be disabled by default and only enable it when I launch the missile.

I've been trying to get this to work on my ship, and it's failing due to being overly complex. I don't recall having this issue in the past. Is this due to the latest updates, or is this due to something on my end? I'll note that your world still seems to work fine.

EDIT - Attaching the missile to your fighter seems to work fine. So...what of my ship design could be causing that issue?

@up Same issue here, program gets overloaded, even tough it worked perfectly fine even I've spammed missiles in unholy ammounts.

Also, would it be possible for the script to automatically arm attached warheads on the torpedo?

Yeah, add a sensor and make the missile a bit bigger.
