About the Animation
Hello everyone!

Thank you for your continuous feedback thus far. Many of you have stated that you think the animation is "too stiff" or "needs work" and I would like to fix that. I would really appreciate if you guys would be willing to tell me exactly what you think is wrong with it (in terms of animation). Why do you think it's stiff? What about it don't you like? I will go back into the file and see if there's anything I can change to make it look more organic, but the problem is that I thought it looked good to begin with. This is where you come in; if you have any specific suggestions of what could be done better, please let me know in this discussion!

Thank you again!

What we mean by "stiff" is it just doesn't look realistic enough. The way the Scout moves simply isn't fluid enough. This can be fixed by moving every single bone, or at least ones above the knees, for each keyframe. As stupid as this might sound, a good thing to do is to look at yourself in a mirror and try replicating these moves, and then comparing your movements to the Scout's. From there, you can probably see what's wrong and fix it.

This taunt definitely has potential though. Don't give up on it, just keep working on it and eventually it'll look great.

I think that I'm prety good at animating, my specialty is making my characters floppy. So I think you should try and make your scout more floppy, though, my brothers tryed to make there characters floppy, they didn't do very good. But like iSmile02 said.

Thank you for your actual constructive criticism! I'm working on fixing him up now, so hopefully you'll be bale to notice a significant difference in quality. Don't worry, I won't give up on this until myself and others are satisfied!
it does seem very stiff. could use a little more work. it seems like a great idea and would be a nice addition to the game. just the animation seemes too stiff and limited.

This may seem a little small/nitpicky, but personally i think that if you were to bring out the knee bent as he's going turning for the kick I think it would seem a little more fluid... maybe :)

My thoughts: Scout punches like hes cardboard, it doesnt really bend, he just sticks his arms straight out without bending, maybe have him stumble a bit cause, scout.

i think when the scout is punching when he retract his arm back it looks so stiff it doesnt look real imo

At first, I chose to click Not interested.
I check back later and voted to add this.
Good work :D

Thank you for saying that, it's very encouraging! :) I'm fixing the animation even more so that it's better quality overall. I hope more people like you will be doing the same soon!

Well, you did make it look better, but it still needs more work. So keep up the good work! :steamhappy: (I'll be keeping my vote on the 'ask me again later' button for now.)

Thank you! I'm thinking about starting over from a clean slate, now that I know a bit more about what I'm doing. Then I'll probably re-upload the final version with everything fixed and nice to the workshop.

this taunt is not fluid and waaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow, any martial artist and even normal people can dodge
