I think that the year starting in 1912, with no unnits is a Tad annoying. I know that you have to build up armies but I think it would be very interesting with the nations have their own militarys at the start, maybe not to big for minor nations. Thanks for taking this into context and I hope that this can be implamented.

Adding more colonys and puppet states, but I dont want to take away playable nations X)

If your intention to have a start date of 1950. a few things should be adjusted to fit that date. 1. most present day nations in Africa and SE Asia were still under the oppressive regimes of European Powers. For example there were no nations of Angola, Algeria, Malaysia, etc yet, but many of those were starting to fight for independence. 2. I picked the USSR to test play and there were no diplomatic relations or trade access set. with any other nation 3. Vietnam Cambodia and Laos Declared War on China. Not only is this very inaccurate but would be disastrous for the Indochina nations to take this action when already fighting France. 4. For some reason by round 2 The USA is already at war with Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China, and North Korea.

keep working on it you are off to a good start

Thank you for looking into this! The main issue i have is the balance of "realism" or "playable" in order to make all nations playable they cannot be puppets states or colonies, i have put a balance of both, but i will make a choice to lean towards one or the other soon!

I have an Idea for a compromise to that issue. make the colonies divided, some freedom fighters in Algeria, Vietnam, etc have gained control of territories are are fighting against France for the French holdings (If i remember my history correctly Laos and Cambodia were still very much French positions but you could add communist rebels allied to North Vietnam for balance) and do the same with the Portuguese and Belgians in Africa (And the Angola, Congo and Mozambique Civil wars could be a 3 way war with Portuguese and Belgium and south Africa vs Communist Rebels allied with Cuban Communists vs Pro US rebels) and Brits in Malaysia (and maybe the mideast with the Suez crisis and palestinian uprisings). Remove any initial alliances from the US , USSR and China and have their leader decide if they want to join in the Korean War or any of the other limited conflicts around the globe. You could also create civil wars in Latin America including Cuba, Nicaragua, Guatamala Argentina, Chile etc.. I guess my suggestion is not historically accurate but could represent an amalgamation of the cold war conflicts that broke out over a 40 year period. In that case the Ethiopian civil war could be thrown into the mix as well. there were also communist insurgencies in Indonesia and the Philippines. I am a bit of a scholar when it come to this time period, I grew up though it and have studied it.

If you have any qestions I will be happy to help and I also have limited experience Moding Making History II

one quick addition Iran was a Monarcy, then a Socialist was elected, the US sponsed a coup to overthrogh that government and re-estabished the Monarcy and then Theoarcy that is in place now seised power in a revolution in 1979
