Thats very wierd. Im not running other mods and Im not getting this 'error' if you will. But I'll look into it. Maybe I missed some code somewhere. 3 quick questions,
starting year?
Loaded game?
Immediately after reform it notifies you that he forfeits it?

Is the title supposed to be Ratriarch_Reformed?

And shouldthe belivers be called reformedorthodox?

Hi. No it shouldnt and yes they should.

Do you have any other mods installed that modify byzantium or the orthodox faith. Where do you see that title? Believers are called 'Reformed Orthodox' if not then something is wrong.

What DLC are you running?

First up, an aside note: I haven't managed to recreate the above bug where my Emperor gave up his hotseat upon reformation. My title converted to Holy Emperor, but that was entirely cosmetic (and due to the game prioritising religious titles over secular ones).

I'm also sorry about this bug textwall.

...Not going to stop although :trazz:

Minor text bug: Upon declaring Orthodox a heresy, the text says "anew" patriarch has arisen...

Should be two words.

Slightly more annoying bug: Upon first becoming the Holy Emperor, the game gains two Patriarchs, with both the Ecumenical and Exsulare existing. This bug ends when the Excommunical Patriarch dies after the two Orthodox become heresies of one-another.

Two versions of Orthodox form when Reformed appears (One follows Ecumenical Patriarch until the event which prevents succession, leading to the Title's death, at which point it becomes leaderless) and the other follows the new Exsulare Patriarch. This'd not be an issue if it was entirely cosmetic, but currently the game doesn't transfer religious ownership of Ecumenical lands to Exsulare followers, leading to a situation where unless a player specifically works to maintain an Exsulare presence, odds are that they'll end up as a 1-person fellowship with only courtiers as followers (no land presence). Possibly create an event which causes all Orthodox (Ecumenical) to flip to Orthodox (Exsulare)? (I'm not a coder, so I don't know how difficult or possible such an idea is)

Important bug: Laws: Crown authority to implement Religious courts requires SPECIFICALLY that you have low crown authority. It can't be higher or lower. This seems likely a bug, as this law would hand more power directly to the ruling religious leaders and having Medium Authority (which allows revoking of infidel/heretic titles even under vanilla) would not likely prevent Religious Court implementation. (should be low authority or higher) (Possibly not a bug? Justify if so)

Well.. you should be a part of this as tester and proof reader :D

I corrected the issue with crown laws.

As for the patriarch this may be an issue if you started game with old version. I removed the patriarch exsulare on grounds that it made the overall picture too messy. I left the title in the mod to avoid breaking save games but it might have broken save games nevertheless. Starting the games in the current state or declaring it a heresy now - that patriarch wont be created and the orthodox characters will be leaderless.

Small Bug : Looks like I can not turn my captured tribal holdings into feudal holdings after forming the Reformed Orthodoxy even after building stone hillforts and owning the province.

New update lets me form the Varangian Guard even though I already have the Imperial Order.

It fixxed the Forming of the Roman Empire though! And my vassals are building Keeps. No more Tribal Savages <3

Yes I did form them before the update.

yeah sorry about that. but its to keep the mod has clean as possible - not messing with the core elements too much. modding VG would mean I had to do a lot of editing of core decisions to make it work. So I chose to keep it out but that means if you formed the order before the update the new code cant find the 'marker'

It's cool I will just have both :p

I think Pilgrimages may be broken. You can use the decsion but no events actually fire afterwards to select a holy site. This is of course after reforming the orthodoxy.

Also, the events for granting the Crusader trait seem to be denied to Reformed Orthodoxy. Not sure if this is intentional or not.
