Stat suggestions

So how would you balance the Sap Zapper?

Or would you use it for something else entirely? Write your ideas below!

-25%damage
-10%firing speed
when sapper is removed whit his weapon the spy can not place a other sapper for the next 3 seconds(against sap spaming)

This paired with a rescue ranger would be the ultimate long range engineer set
-75% clip size
-15% firing speed


when sapper is remove, there is a 5 second cooldown before another sapper can be placed
20% increased damage

Pros

Damage can remove sappers (3 shots)
+15% Damage

Cons

-10 Damage from point blank or long range
Can only get ammo from dispensers or resuply lockers

it doesn't seem like theres a way to put the removes sapper thing in there unless it has no damage whatsoever and just acts as long range sapper removal

Pros

Damage revoes sappers with 3 shots and prevents sapper spamming for 3 seconds
+20% firing speed
+5% accuracy
Cons
-60% damage
-10% reload speed

This would make the gun interesting and fun to play with and it wold make it so you are more dependant sticking with your sentry but it would also encourage you to wak aray from it to get more metal.

Thank you all for your suggestions! These are some good points, I'm glad most people like the concept of "+new ability, -combat effectiveness"

how about:
Pros:
Damage removes sappers (3-6 shots)

Does not require ammo

+firing speed

Cons:
-Clip size

-Reload speed

-Damage

Also it would fire a fast moving projectile (similar to pomson or cowmangler)

Pros.
.Damage to sappers
.100% Bonus damage to sappers
.does not require ammo (like the bison)
.projectile cannot be reflected

Cons
.50% clip size
.very slow fire rate
.30% damage penalty

Sides
.Lazer damage type projectile

Pros:
Can remove sappers in 4 shots
+50% clip size
Does the same damage at any range
Spys cannot place sappers on buildings for 3 seconds after a sapper has been removed

Cons:
Can only remove the sapper from 1 side of a teleporter
-40% damage
-100% reload speed
Can only gain ammo from dispensers while the weapon is not active

Extra:
Pyros can reflect the projectile to heal the placed sapper or remove a sapper from a friendly building

These stats are designed to both stop spys spamming sappers onto buildings and also to not make sappers completely useless to engineers using the weapon.

it seems that a pair of engys with this and RR would be unstoppable. Id say reduce healing taken by sentries ffor a while

When sapper gets removed,another won't be able to be put again for some seconds(3 or 4)

Enemys get a effect that will give them damage when enter on water

Only 2 clips for removing sapper

10% more damage from any eletrical thing (sentry,short sircuit,rescue ranger clip,wrangler shield more effective towards you)

When sapper removed,marks the spy for death

Level 10 Voltage Pistol

Pros:
> Damage can remove Sappers.
> +15% damage vs. wet players.

Cons:
> Costs 5 metal per shot.
