Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Divide et Impera Part 1
PUT A CAP SKYTHIOI ARISTOI HIPPOTOXITAI!
I just had my newest Bosphoran Campaign ruined by an unbeatable amount of armored Skythian noble horse archers. These need a really big unit cap since they're so expense (realistically Skythians should rely on masses of light horse archers anyway) and basically unbeatable.

The AI fields them in droves about 40 turns in and they absolute dominate basically any other unit. Even the classic phalanx and missile infantry strategy barely works when those horse archers have practically more armor than most infantry units until the late game.

Lance Cavalry or javelins also doesn't really help when they got shot to pieces on the charge or cut down by their surprisingly good melee stats as well.

So please for the love of the gods Kam and Dresden, cap this damn untit!

We dont do caps so we wony apply any here.

But I think we want to move them a bit higher in recruitment.

Also I sort of want to update that unit a bit in the future, as in visually and stat wise.

Fine, but also I think the biggest problem is the AI army comp, nomads should not fully rely on all heavy cav, it historically makes 0 sense and barely plays to their strengths of outmanouvering an entire army and skirmishing it do the death in the process.

As for stats, definitely lower their melee capabilities, they can keep their armor but they shouldn't be able to defend themsevles as well as they do, that's why I said they were unbeatable, as I could never beat them in close combat, the very thing that should kill horse archers in mass.

Have their even beaten you inside fortifications?

Nope, outside on a regular battlefield against lances, they outnumbered me for one, but you'd think getting double-teamed by shock cav and horse archers would do them in but no. Their melee and armor capability are simply too high, especially when some of them wear gold; which really isn't that protective.
