Yes, as the title says. The mod will be making a jump to version 2.0 as many new things will be changed. I've negleted this mod for too long so now is the time to slowly work on updating it with plenty of new or revanmped mechanics/features.

There will be some balancing with the game as mechanics such as temperature/caves/etc. have caused issues with this character making it hard to survive (but for those who managed to do it, hats off to you).

I plan of adding a few more additions such as the possibility of a level up system, just to have a little throwback to good ol' Pokemon mechanics. Of course because of how that could easily break or make a game, there will be lots of beta testing for the feature in private and I'll probably make it a configurable option whether or not you want the feature enabled for this character on any servers.

As I said earlier, the "configurable" option will be something I'll be trying to add so everyone can tweak a few more things to either make this character more easier to use or challenging. Examples would be saying giving him say a spear upon spawn to help him slightly early game for those who aren't used to his damage debuff during day and need materials that you can only get from killing monsters.

One of the biggest additions/changes is the graphics. As you noticed how the character select and even the preview image of this mod is rather silly/derpish as I only made it in a hurry as placeholder images for when I actually make a decent image for it. Well that's going to change as I'll be having a nicer image and there's a good chance I'll redo the entire character model as well.
