Improved Hair Menu Build 42
Bug report
When using avatar size 6, the buttons can't be clicked (stubble checkmark, colors, close, pages). Tested on vanilla 42.11 debug.

It works normally on avatar size 4 and the default 5

This isn’t a bug.
When you raise the rows and columns and then also increase the avatar size the buttons eventually move out of reach and become unclickable.

You can absolutely lower the number of rows/columns and raise the avatar size instead.
For example, I use avatar size 7 without issues; I just adjust my rows and columns accordingly.

I might add a safeguard, or make the row/column controls more granular with live adjustable increase/decrease.

My first priority was simply to get the mod running again.
I can keep improving it, but even back then it wasn’t perfect

The latest update should fix your issue.

Can not change hairstyle in character creation , but ingame once i get the tools for it.
The size and row controls seem to not work sometimes. Are there conflicts with other Hairmods/UI Mods?

Yes resubscribing and file verification did it. Can choose Hairstyle in creation menu now :-)

It should all work as intended now. It took a lot of effort to get everything running smoothly, but you no longer need to open Mod Options or restart the game—every change you make is applied live. I’ve also simplified the interface so you’re not overwhelmed with settings. Rows, columns, and avatar size should be more than enough, right?

To prevent any layout issues, there’s now a safeguard that keeps the window from becoming so large that you can’t reach the buttons anymore.

I’m satisfied with the mod for now. If you run into anything, please test it first in a clean environment without other mods that might affect mine. In all my test runs today I didn’t find any errors—everything should be running 100%. And if you do discover an incompatibility, please let me know.
When I first made the report, the buttons are visible but can't be clicked (size 7 was what made the button go off screen, default setting for the rest). No longer relevant now since you've already fixed and improved it so quickly lol. Didn't found any bugs in 42.11 with lots of mods. Thanks.

Hello @TwisTonFire, I developed the Grow Stubble mod. Is there a way we can make our mods compatible regardless of load order? Currently, Grow Stubble must be loaded after your mod for both to work, because my mod hooks the same functions that Improved Hair Menu overwrites (hairMenu and beardMenu).

I’ve added an ApplyHooks() function to the global mod variable so it can be accessed externally. Let me know if you need anything else for a compatibility patch, or if you prefer to leave things as they are, or maybe it's simply not possible to achieve.

Thanks, your mod is very cool! I remember using something similar years ago

I added a compatiblity patch in my script that load order shouldn't matter anymore:

Thank you very much for the patch, I didn't know it was possible to do and now I have something new to learn about PZ modding! Have a good day!
