@Grim Hiker and @Don Pijote te la Mancha

Thanks to both of you for the compatibility suggestions. As soon as I have a moment, I’ll review both mods and figure out the best way to make them compatible for you.

Warm regards
Grim Hiker 27 Oct @ 11:02am
Any chance you could look into compatability with "remove hair change restrictions" so we can see every hairstyle we have downloaded without restrictions for short/long hair and so on? Or just make it so your mod has an unlock all hair styles option that disregards the games restrictions on hair? I have tons of styles downloaded but either I get the list of them with remove hair change restrictions so I can have long/short hair/any style whenever I want, OR if your mod is lower in load order I get your mod but I only see the hairstyles I can make based on if my hair is already long/short. Either way love the modding man thanks for all the hard work!

Can it have a compatibility patch for even more hair colors?

What mods do you use to get character like in the screens?
AceOfScray 22 Oct @ 6:19pm
This is a nice mod and works well on my 4k resolution which is the reason I wanted a mod for it. If i could give some feedback:

- I would love it if I didn't have to click on the hair menu button every time you want to try a new hairstyle
- have feature where you can click next on the styles so I can see how my character will look like a bit faster

Thank you for the work and the mods you make <3

@Coconutsales Thanks so much for the feedback—especially the note about your higher resolution; that helped a ton!

I’ve just updated the script to ensure that, regardless of resolution, all UI elements remain fully clickable and usable no matter what you set.

Naturally, it only really makes sense to max everything out on very high resolutions.
Coconutsales 20 Oct @ 9:01pm
In case resolution helps - 2560x1600

Though, the elements are on screen, it just does nothing when I try to click them.
Coconutsales 20 Oct @ 8:59pm
It seems that, when I increase the columns and rows to max with the max size portrait, I can no longer click on the other window UI elements (IE; Close, Controls, Color, the Stubble checkbox, etc)

And one more quick reminder: because Steam doesn’t always deliver the newest version right away, if you run into fundamental issues please try this first—unsubscribe from the mod, wait a moment, then resubscribe. That should ensure you’re on the latest version.
TwisTonFire  [author] 20 Oct @ 3:52pm
It should all work as intended now. It took a lot of effort to get everything running smoothly, but you no longer need to open Mod Options or restart the game—every change you make is applied live. I’ve also simplified the interface so you’re not overwhelmed with settings. Rows, columns, and avatar size should be more than enough, right?

To prevent any layout issues, there’s now a safeguard that keeps the window from becoming so large that you can’t reach the buttons anymore.

I’m satisfied with the mod for now. If you run into anything, please test it first in a clean environment without other mods that might affect mine. In all my test runs today I didn’t find any errors—everything should be running 100%. And if you do discover an incompatibility, please let me know. :steamthumbsup:

@all I updated a lot this mod today. If you encounter ANY issues, just unsubscribe and resubscribe to get the latest version.

I’d love your feedback: do we need separate settings for rows, columns, and avatar size in-game, or is it fine to keep a single set that applies to both Character Creation and the in-game hair menu?
TwisTonFire  [author] 20 Oct @ 6:04am
Changelog:

Improved Hair Menu — Changelog (Short)

New Controls panel with live sliders (rows, columns, avatar size).

Unified modal dialog; grid now centered.

Min/Max sizing: adapts to screen, always usable.

Header layout fixed: title, stubble, color, and Controls no longer overlap.

Controls auto-close when the preview window closes.

Instant updates on slider release; no more nil-call errors.

Color picker is click-safe; avatar preview updates correctly.

Single Controls button for both Hair & Beard.

Legacy ModOptions removed; existing values migrated once to live config.

Funny, I feel like I could just stop reading descriptions and just hit subscribe anytime you release a mod. Always top tier man!

@pimatstudio
That depends if you just tie a hair or cut a hair.
If you just tie a hair it will stay that way.
But if you cut it, it will grow!

Thanks! I'm optimizing the mod by the way right now.
pimatstudio 20 Oct @ 2:08am
@TwisTonFire

Do the hair variants added by your mod grow? Or do they stay forever as chosen?
Great work for replacing the bugged and abandoned mod! Thanks!

@Eizen

I’m using a private pack that I assembled and optimized myself. It’s a full overhaul of mods that were originally built for Build 41. I also added custom models so hairstyles look good under hats, hoodies, and caps—similar to how Fluffy’s handles it.

This includes, for example, Saint Hairstyles I & II.

Last but not least I added Hairstyles of my own.

That said, you’ll still find many hairstyles across these mods: Fluffy’s, Spongie’s Hair, and Yaki’s Hair Salon.

I also use Tomb’s hairstyles—which I like a lot.
Eizen 19 Oct @ 8:43pm
What are the hair mods that you are using?
Don Pijote te la Mancha 19 Oct @ 4:51pm
