Halloween Restriction For Weapons Is A Bad Idea
Implementing Halloween / Full Moon Restrictions on Weapons is a really really bad idea. For example, what if you’ve got a strange version of it with a prof or any other killstreak kit on it, and you can’t even use it 99 percent of the time. Isn’t that a pretty bad idea? I think you’d get a lot of complaints from people since they can’t use the weapon they PAID FOR. Plus, no other War-Paints are Halloween Restricted. Why start now? We all hate Holiday Restrictions, let’s be honest here.
Edit: There is a SINGULAR war-paint called Horror Holiday that is Halloween / Full Moon restricted, so nobody uses it.

lots people like holiday restrictions. Halloween cosmetics can deviate so heavily from TF2's norm, and they can do that because of the holiday restrictions. it's why we can have these crazy wacky seasonal cosmetics, without it becoming a permanent blemish on the vanilla style of the game.

plus Halloween restrictions also protects players from facing something like the corpse carrier all year round. and in the case of this warpaint, I can see it going from something really cool to use during scream fortress every year, to a pay to win item with an extremely overinflated price. since no other warpaint lets you have a middle ground between solid and no view models.

what on earth are you talking about. this is 100% untrue
Hear me out, you can just.. not get one if you don't like it.

In my eyes, when it's being Halloween Restricted, it'd appear as the stock weapon, you'd still have your strange and killstreaks, but without the ghostly appearance it gets during Halloween and full moons. But it's all down to how valve would want to implement it

I do actually really like this answer, would love to see this type of implementation
