Hello! It seems like since the last update, when pawns go to sleep the helmets stay on, and the hair and beard clips through it. Desactivating this mod fixes it, but it could be also a mod conflict from my part (Even tho I havent change my modlist). So if you could check it out you will be doing me already a favor.

Thanks for keeping the mod updated, cheers. :er_heart:

Edit 2: nvm, ignore if you read the other edit, the bug persists. I didnt realize I was testing it with another mod.

Technically this shouldn't be possible to be caused by my mod. There's no code to begin with to change anything render-related, no layer changes (yet) and only a very few changes to some graphicClass/shaderType related things in a very few mods to fix their inherent 'bugs' with wrong or missing masks. And nothing of that should even be related to pawn-rendering while in bed.

Thing is, the way my patches are working - even if another mod would somehow break mine, that would just mean that the changes (mostly stats) aren't applied and the armor just keeps its vanilla stats & behaviour. There's also no interconnection between features, so one patch breaking wouldn't cause weird behaviour of another one - at least at the moment there shouldn't be any such interconnection.

Long story short; I fail to come up with a good idea what would cause that behaviour.
I'm gonna fire my test-setup here right now to see if I'm missing something stupid, but if it's related to my patches, it clearly has to be a conflict between mine and another mod. Make sure to drop a full Hugslog though - ideally from directly after a pawn went to bed and the glitch happens - I'm really curious what could result in that behaviour.

Also - just in case - since I changed some texture-files in the last update, if you converted your mod-textures to .dds previously, delete your old ones from the mod-folder and remake them with RimSort if you want. Haven't heard of such a behaviour based on broken .dds files - but just in case - 1.6-support for them is rather new and they did a lot of changes to how the game loads textures to begin with - so who knows if is related to any of that.

Yeah, it's nothing inherent to my mod at least. Sleeping pawns are rendering normally even with all features turned on. That much was expected, but at least it's one thing we can rule out. Now onto finding out what mod does something weird in combination with mine...

Thank you for your thoughtful explanation and research. I will be posting a hugslog tomorrow when I have time, and I will be deleting the old .dds textures. I'm also quite curious about what is causing it. I will be doing more tests tomorrow and post the huglog if I don't find anything.

Thank you for your time.
So after checking what mods updated around the same date as yours I found that a faulty update from another mod was the one at fault. Sorry for the false call. From my tests it looked like deactivating your mod fixed it, but it was just the bug happening at random, and it coincidentally happened when I did so.

Again, sorry for wasting your time, but I'm grateful of your help. Sometimes modding this game is a pain :steamsad:

Not a problem, I'm still 'RW troublehshooter' first, modder... something like 10th place - if we wanna put those things into categories. :D

Did you find out which mod specifically is causing it? I'm curious and it might help if maybe someone shows up with the same issue in troubleshoots.

Yes, it was this one:

I informed the author and he was aware of the bug, so all good on that end.

Your answer made me realize I was looking in the wrong place, so it was useful regardless. The thing is, I didn't even know I had this mod activated, which caused me to believe it was yours doing it. :steamfacepalm:

Looking at the mod now, it was pretty obvious.

Cheers mate, thanks for being so collaborative.

Good to know, but if the author is aware there's nothing much really to do anyways. Thx for the heads-up - at least I know what to look out for, just in case.
